Hersheypark was created for the employees and relatives of Milton S. Hershey\'s Chocolate Factory on April 24, 1907. Milton wanted to create a more pleasant environment for workers and residents in his community than any typical factory town of the time. Now offering over 60 attractions, including 10 world class roller coasters, Hersheypark is one of the cleanest, oldest, and true-to-its-theme amusement parks in this country!

The Park is generally less busy Sundays through Thursdays, in the months of May and June, and on the following holidays: Mother\'s Day, Memorial Day Monday, Father\'s Day, July 4th, and Labor Day Monday. Historically Saturdays are our busiest days at Hersheypark. If you have flexibility in your travels plans please consider visiting us on a Sunday, or other operating day.

With so many great things to see and do, Hersheypark is a popular weekend attraction. Saturday's tend to draw larger crowds, so if your schedule is flexible, we suggest that you visit Sundays through Thursdays.

To get the most out of your day, a little planning is recommended. Ride the coasters and water rides first. The lines for these popular rides are much shorter at the beginning of the day. (Except for the Comet - wait until mid-day to get on faster.)

Begin your visit to the Park in Midway America or in the Kissing Tower area . Lines for the popular rides in this area of the Park are also shorter in the morning.

Skyrush at Hershey Park (New 2012)

Ride the edge with the newest, tallest, and fastest roller coaster at Hersheypark. After climbing 200 feet into the air, you'll touch the sky before flying downhill at 75mph in the country's first winged seat coaster train.

Plan on getting wet! We have several drenching water rides. If you'd rather not walk around in wet clothing, be sure to pack a spare T-shirt and shorts. Changing rooms and lockers are available.

When you arrive at the Park, we suggest you choose a designated meeting location in the event someone is separated from your party. Pick a common location in the Park that can be easily found by everyone in your party. Or ask the nearest Security Guard for assistance

The best way to enjoy your visit to Hersheypark is to have a plan in place prior to your arrival. Make sure to include time to enjoy shows, games, ZooAmerica and of course, Hershey's Chocolate World!

Don't let RAIN dampen your spirits! If it rains - Don’t leave! Hersheypark stays open in the rain, and rainy days mean shorter lines. Buy a poncho, see a show, or go shopping. 

Preview Plan!
Arrive the night before and take advantage of the preview plan. With your next day's ticket, be our guest for 2 1/2 hours prior to the park closing. (example: Arrive Sunday night after 7:30 PM and purchase or present your ticket for Monday - be our guest for no additional cost!)

The preview plan is a great way for you to explore the park so that you can be prepared for your big day! Bonus! Pay to park in the evening, and the next day's parking is FREE. 

When to visit:
Tuesdays through Thursdays are ideal. Saturdays are typically our busiest day! On three-day weekends, Sundays are generally the busiest. Crowds typically thin after 6 PM.
